If your purchase is not delivered as described or if it does not quite fit, simply return the item/s within 7 days of receiving your order for a hassle-free refund.


  • All returns must be requested within 7 days of receiving your item/s
  • Returns are permitted for sizing related returns only 
  • Shipping costs to return the item/s must be covered by the customer 
  • Sale items cannot be returned

Some Items Cannot Be Returned For Hygiene Reasons.

Exclusions Include; 

  • Jewellery, swimwear, underwear and non-returnable items unless deemed faulty. 
  • Any non-returnable product will be clearly identified in its product description. 
  • Any item on sale at the time of the purchase is not eligible for a refund or return unless the item is deemed faulty.

Our mission is to support Australian independent brands which are operating with low stock and low margins. This is why change of mind returns are not accepted as this becomes a large burden their ability to operate.



1. Please let us know of any return request that meets the above criteria within 7 days of receiving the item/s by emailing customercare@localthreads.com.au.

2.  For an item to be returned, it must be in original saleable condition;

  • With all original tags and any sewn labels still attached
  • In an unworn, unopened and unused state

3. We will promptly respond with the return details for your order. Shipping costs to return the item/s must be covered by the customer (sorry about this, our local businesses would run at a loss otherwise). Please provide us with a delivery tracking code when you send off the returning item/s.

4. Local Threads will then refund your order to the payment method you used at checkout.. The majority of refunds appear in our customers accounts instantaneously - but please allow up to 48 hours.
